Safety Is Number 1!
The safety and welfare of our members is, and always has been our number one priority. OAIMA members work closely with federal and state agencies to ensure our workers understand and comply with all health and safety regulations. All new mine workers must complete 40 hours of rigorous training before starting work. Additionally, workers will complete 8 hours of refresher training annually.
OAIMA supports safety by providing health and safety updates, training and support to our members and has a very active Safety Committee.
