Smoke from hundreds of wildfires in Canada has spread over 5,000 miles across the Atlantic over the last week — reaching as far as parts of Russia.
“The fact that we are able to observe the smoke in Europe, is a reflection of the scale of the fires and impacts they have been having in Manitoba and Saskatchewan,” wrote the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS).
